Step inside our cozy west coast cabin and you'll find floor-to-ceiling windows, natural wood finishes, and a layout made for both gathering and retreating.

The A-frame design, with high ceilings and windows, lets guests take in a truly unique view of the surrounding wooded area, ocean, mountains and sky. Relax in the cedar barrel sauna overlooking the ocean.

Note for Families:

  • The cabin is not child-proofed. We bring our toddlers here, but do so with close supervision. If you're traveling with children, please plan accordingly.

  • The stairs to the upper bedrooms are steep - these are not suitable for young children and those who have mobility challenges.

  • The upper bedrooms are loft style with openings to the A-frame

Seaside Cabin is tucked in the heart of Shirley, on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.

 

​Beaches: Shirley is known for its beautiful beaches. The Seaside Cabin provides easy access to some of Vancouver Island's most iconic destinations. French Beach Provincial Park and Flea Beach are within walking distance. French Beach is a popular destination for walking along the rugged coastline. Sandcut Beach and Muir Creek Beach are also worth exploring. 


Hiking: The area offers several hiking opportunities, including trails leading to French Beach and Juan de Fuca Provincial Park. 


Lighthouses: Sheringham Point Lighthouse is a notable landmark and offers scenic views. 

 

Outdoor Activities: Enjoy activities like kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing charters.

Nearby attractions: Explore the natural wonders of Juan de Fuca Provincial Park, which features hiking trails, secluded beaches, and the chance to spot wildlife like whales and bears. 

 

Food: Some of our favourite yummy spots are Stoked pizza & Shirley Delicious. 

 

Artisan Markets and Local Crafts: Shirley BC has a lively artisan community. Local markets and craft fairs show the skills of local artists and craftsmen. These markets let you buy unique items. You can find handmade jewelry, pottery, and local foods and drinks. The Shirley summer Sunday market is one of our favourites.

Our home on the sea

We are two families who fell in love with this stretch of coastline — the crashing waves, towering trees, and slow rhythm of life by the sea.
 

This cabin is our shared passion project, built with care and designed to connect people with nature, the sea, and each other.
 

We use only local products, support local artisans, and take great pride in sharing the space with guests who love it as much as we do.
